"Group seeks judicial review of Croydon Council's decision to approve [Westfield and] Hammerson's £1 billion development" (Funnily enough, ...)

Link to Croydon Advertiser

"The group with management control of the Whitgift Centre has applied for a judicial review of the council's decision to approve Westfield/Hammerson's town centre redevelopment.

The Whitgift Trust is behind the claim, which has been filed with the High Court.

The trust, essentially the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (Anglo Irish Bank), owns around 25 per cent of the leasehold of the Whitgift Centre.

Both the council and the Partnership - the official name of the £1 billion project - are confident any challenge can be countered and the matter settled away from court, the Advertiser understands."
