Transport question time with Mayor of London candidates
Date: 5 April 2012
Time: 6.30pm for a 7pm start
Venue: Friends
House, NW1
In the run up to the Mayor of London election, 'Living Streets' is organising a
transport question time event. Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone, Brian Paddick and
Jenny Jones have all confirmed that they, or a senior representative, will
attend.
In partnership with 'Campaign for Better Transport' and 'Movement for Liveable
London', we are aiming to make sure that transport is a key election issue.
The event is your chance to quiz candidates on how they plan to keep London
moving over the next four years. And find out how they would go about creating a
safer, cleaner and better London for everyone.
Packed and expensive public transport, an increasingly vocal pedestrian and
cycling community and forecasts of transport chaos during the Olympics are areas
to debate. All aspects of London transport will be considered, with an emphasis
on how to improve conditions for pedestrians, cyclists and passengers.
Panel and chair to be announced shortly.
