DevelopCroydon: "Westfield and Hammerson inspire on investors' tour" (Hammerson? Inspirational?)

"Westfield and Hammerson used the Croydon Investor Tour, organised by the Develop Croydon Forum, to launch the Croydon Partnership as the banner under which its joint 200,000 sq metre redevelopment will revamp the town centre.

"It is hoped that the redevelopment plans for the existing Whitgift Centre, Centrale and North End will act as the catalyst to inspire further regeneration projects around the town.

"... Paul Spooner, Croydon Council’s interim director for planning and regeneration, said:
"Unfolding developments over the next five years will position Croydon as the best and biggest regeneration opportunity in London." [Given that Hammerson is 'Dead in the Water' (source: Boris) at the dated, unsustainable, car-based Brent Cross debacle.]

And Hammerson

"The Point in Milton Keynes puts redevelopment plans on show"

"A public consultation has been held, and a planning application is expected to be submitted in July.

"A spokesman for developers Hammerson said the new plans showed a more 'leisure-focussed' facility [like Brent Cross?], but he said it was not yet decided whether a new cinema would be included [Er, like Brent Cross?].
