"Property Company builds station box at own expense, to enable development" (No, it's not Hammerson at Brent Cross)

"Crossrail is the new high-frequency railway which will link Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west, through new tunnels and stations under central London, with Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east. It will act as a catalyst for regeneration across London. Rail capacity will be increased by 10%, new journey opportunities will be created, journey times cut and overcrowding relieved. For further information about Crossrail visit www.crossrail.co.uk.

"Berkeley’s construction of the station box at Woolwich is progressing well, and is on programme to achieve an early handover of the east section of works to Crossrail at the beginning of March 2013. This early handover supports efforts to progress the transfer of tunnel boring machines through the station box, and enable tunnelling under the River Thames to link Abbey Wood and Woolwich with the rest of the Crossrail network."
