Rebalancing the Economy? "New City jobs plummet 35% as banking sector is battered"

"The City of London jobs machine is stalling, according to a survey by the recruitment firm Astbury Marsden. It says 35,115 new City jobs were created last year, down from 52,025 in 2011 — a 35% fall.

"The Centre for Economics and Business Research has forecast that the number of City jobs will fall to its lowest level in two decades this year."
