Evening Standard: "New look London - how the capital will change after the Olympics"

Link to Evening Standard

"That 2012 will be a high profile year for London architecture, as the city gets dolled up to receive the world's media and sportspeople for the Olympics, is something of an understatement.

"... Beyond east London, because there seems to be the political will to force through much-needed housing development across London despite the economy, by this time next year we will see more progress on large housing masterplans such as Greenwich Peninsula (2,000 homes by 2015), Brent Cross, the Olympic Park, and the rather chaotic development of Vauxhall/Nine Elms.

"The latter is one of the hotspots of London property development, with opportunistic planning applications for sometimes very tall residential buildings being made by various developers."
