"31 Jan: A group of protesters took control of an abandoned Leeds building [for a tea-shop] this morning, in protest against government welfare cuts and the 'gentrification' of the city centre."

"A spokeswoman for Eastgate developers Hammerson said the company is likely to make a statement tomorrow."
