"A giant tower block on the site of a notorious estate has sparked a row, with the developers accused of 'sheer naked greed and opportunism' by the area’s MP.
"FTSE 250 firm Berkeley Group is behind the £1- billion Kidbrooke Village scheme in south-east London, which replaces the now demolished Ferrier Estate.
"The 4,000-unit masterplan was given consent five years ago, but Berkeley is now proposing to add more than 1,000 extra homes, including some in a proposed 31-storey residential tower." [So, more precisely, just like with Barnet's West Hendon Welsh Harp then.]
