"Critics of the £1.5 billion regeneration of Elephant and Castle claim secret documents prove local taxpayers have been 'ripped off'.
They spoke out after reading a confidential agreement between developer Lend Lease and Southwark council that was not redacted properly.
"They say the document reveals that the council spent £44 million on emptying the Heygate estate at the heart of the regeneration scheme — but will only receive £50 million from Lend Lease for the 22-acre site. Other costs to the council would leave it out of pocket."
