"Hammerson has signed lola&grace, the new Swarovski-owned jewellery brand,
at Brent Cross shopping centre in north London.
"lola&grace is a new fashion jewellery brand aimed at young
women aged 18 to 25, with trend-based collections accented with Swarovski
crystal. It is the second new-concept store to open at Brent Cross in recent
months, after the first Locker Room by Foot Locker outlet opened at the centre
late last year.
Swarovski, which opened a 399 sq ft store at Brent Cross in March 2005, is
relocating to a new 1,100 sq ft unit in the lower mall, next to Tommy Hilfiger.
lola&grace will open a new store in Swarovski’s existing location, next to
Kurt Geiger, this summer.
"Sheila King, Hammerson Group retail leasing director said:
“Brent Cross consistently delivers strong trading performances for retailers launching in the UK. The creation of lola&grace is a fantastic way of widening Swarovski’s appeal to fashion-focussed shoppers. With such a loyal and strong catchment, Brent Cross is a great location for an emerging brand.”
"Ed Jenkins, head of UK Retail for Standard Life Investments,
added:
"Beyond the obvious attraction of a new brand coming to the centre, this is an existing tenant selecting Brent Cross as the right location to expand its retail offering. Such a ringing endorsement is good for the shopper and for the centre.”
"Cushman & Wakefield and Lunson Mitchenall acted on behalf of
Hammerson and Standard Life Investments, and Harper Dennis Hobbs acted on behalf
of lola&grace."
